Japan ATC's

These are the first ATC's that are part of what I hope will become a regular Team swap. I love ATC's because they are a unique mini way of sharing creativity. The first photo is the ATC I made, and then the second photo are the other 5 from my talented team mates. Next theme is childhood memories.... so stay posted.

Love birds

Here's a cute gift bag with a little pocket on the front for a note card. I have used Raspberry Tart DSP with Melon Mambo- I love that combination!
I've used the Two Step Bird Punch on both bag and Note card decoration. I like to think of this as my Love Bird Gift Bag! Perfect for that special someone...

Thank You Card

My friend asked me to make a special card for a lady who has bought our school a whole new strip for our school netball team- very generous. My friend wanted the colours on the card to match the schools team colours- purple, yellow gold and black and have a New Zealand feel. Not so easy but this is what I came up with. This is my first attempt at sponging a scene and I'm pleased with how it's turned outand so was my friend. Paula my upline is sponging queen, and so I've learnt everything I know about sponging from her- thank you Paula, check out her blog for more sponging ideas. If you're interested in taking a class with me about sponging then email me.

Colour Challenge at Swap Sisters

This weekend Swap Sisters challenged us to use Perfect Plum, Going Gray, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White, what a feminine combination. I've made a card for my sister in law. I've embossed with Dazzling Diamonds onto Perefect Plum Cardstock, matted with Pretty in Pink. And then clear embossed onto whisper White with The Seaside stamp set, then spritzzed the card and added the colours as pastels. FInally I've added a little bow in Whisper White Ribbon. I think the overall effect is very pretty and has a watery soft look like the sea.

Autumn Days

Here is a very special Farewell Scrapbook I made for a very Special lady. The book is a 6 X 6 scrapbook, I've used Autumn Traditions DSP throughout. The book also has sponged scenes on which evryone from work have written their farewells.
The leaf, tree and Bird motifs have a special meaning to us at The Twig Centre and so it made Autumn Traditions and the 2 Step Bird punch perfect for a book for Evelyn who set up Twig and is also responsible for getting me and my family here to NZ. Evelyn is moving down South and so we shall miss her.

Just Add Stitching

This weeks Just Add Ink Challenge is to add Stitching, whether real or faux. I've made a 12 X 12 Scrapbook page of another of my grandmas as a girl. I've used the gorgeous Bella Rose DSP and Chocolate Chip cardstock to show off this pretty Heritage family photo. I've used my trusty sewing machine to add definition in various parts of the page, most noticebly on the tags and the rose leaves. The roses I've Stamped using the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp set and then watercoloured them using Riding Hood Red and the Aqua painters, adding a bit of dimension with the Dimensionals. With a Finishing touch of Kraft Taffeta Ribbon.

Pretty Blue ATC

Here's this weeks Swap Sister ATC Challenge. I've used Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy (my new fav colour). Used the Tres Chic background stamp and the small Damask Stamp from Tiny Tags and of Course flower and hat pin from the Pretties Kit.
