Geisha

One of the current challenges over at Gingersnap Creations is Geisha. I love Asian Designs at the best of times, so this months challenges at Gingersnap are a Must for me.

I have stamped my image with Staz On, then Brayered, I then added some interest by painting part of the image with Shimmer Paint. I've matted with Basic Black and some real pretty metallic embossed Asian type paper. Satin Real Red Ribbon and sentiment added with the Tiny Tag and we are done.

Vintage halloween

This weeks challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room is Vintage halloween combined with the bottom photo for inspiration. For my card I've used a vintage halloween image- cute and mounted it onto black cardstock, I've also stamped using the rock N roll technique with the damask stamp from Friends 24-7 in Tangerine Tango and Basic Black, sponging with peach pizzazz. Ribbon, lace and a flower add some interest.

Love birds

Here's a cute gift bag with a little pocket on the front for a note card. I have used Raspberry Tart DSP with Melon Mambo- I love that combination!
I've used the Two Step Bird Punch on both bag and Note card decoration. I like to think of this as my Love Bird Gift Bag! Perfect for that special someone...

Just- Add-Ink #17

This week is a technique challenge with a blog hop showcasing different techniques on the design teams websites. I've gone with tow of the techniques: masking shown by Danielle Daws and Watercolouring as shown by Sarah Klass.
I wanted to create a soft vintage look, so I purposely used Chocolate Chip Ink rather than StazOn. This has given the stamped images a softer feel. Using Winter Post Stamp Set, I've stamped the couple on to water colour paper. Then I masked them, and stamped with trees from Lovely as a Tree. I've also used the reflection technique to add the skater's reflection on the ice. I love how this has created a little romantic scene. I've then watercoloured using various inks. Using the Aqua Painter make this surprisingly easy and gives a very different look to using Blender Pens. Then to complete the winter look I've added "snow" using dazzling Diamonds and Pearl Ex Powder.
I have made two cards, and couldn't decide which I liked best so Here's card 1, with card 2 to follow in separate post.
Card 1 is in my favourite style- Over the Top Vintage LOL. For the Vintage background I've collaged text, sheet music and stamps, adding a soft glaze with Mod Podge. I've then added embellishments of mini tags and beads from the Pretties Kit.
Let me know which one you prefer.

Just Add Vintage- Again

I could Just Add Vintage all day everyday.....
Here's my second entry in this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge.
I'm right into making little books at the moment, and they hand themselves to the vintage theme very easily. I've covered the card cover of the book with Raspberry Tart DSP. Inside I've sponged the pages with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive, and the stamped with a plethra of different stamps in Rich Razzleberry. I've also doodled some of the embleshments and added flowers.

Asian Artistry

Using the new level 2 hostess set, I've made this pretty card. Inked with Baja Breeze and the shaded using blender pens in So Saffron and Old Olive. I wanted an 18th century pretty feel to the card. I love the new Tag Punch, it makes much a cute little emblishment.
