Window ATC
This week with Melissa Davies over at Swap Sisters we made this really cool ATC with little shutters, this is the one I made. To create the background I've sponged in Garden Green and Certainly Celery and then inked the Forever Flowers wheel with Garden Green and randomly run it over the Very Vanilla Cardstock. Finally I highlighted the pattern with the white gel pen. I used some patterned Vellum (Non SU) but you could just as easily use the window sheets. I love 18th Century imagery, so here's Marie Antoinette.

To the Heart
As you probably know by now I like to make little books, this is my latest take on little books. I've cut some hearts from Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP (Sadly now sold out) and cut some white hearts also. I've then used a simple book binding method to bind them using the Linen thread (page 151, current catalogue, $10.25). Finally decorating the cover using the very versatile 2 Step Bird Punch (mini catalogue $35.95), the heart from the Always Stamp Set (page 95, $66.95).
Sorry the photos aren't that great- depth of winter makes for poor photography light.

Beachcomber
This weeks Challenge at Just Add Ink is Just add Embossing. I love embossing some of the ladies have been saying how when they first learned to emboss- they embossed everything gold- I still love embossing in gold- though I don't think I pop it on everything- anymore...
I've heavily embossed a wooden domino in gold and then stamped in Staz On with a small shell from the Seaside Set. Then I've added some hemp twine and a starfish charm ( non- SU). The background I brayered in Pacific Point and Not Quite Navy. Stamped the Starfish from Seaside, masked it and stamped over it with En Francais. I also added DSP- Haiku, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon and some distressing.
I mounted it on to Brilliant Blue- which is only with us for about 6 more weeks, as it's one of the retiring colours. Contact me for the complete list of Retiring Colours or to make your order before supplies run out.

Tote Notes
Here is the tote gift bag with notecards I made at one of Paula's classes- such a cool little gift this made my mom. Want to make your own tote gift bag and notecards? Then contact me.
Traditional Squash Book
I made this little squash book a while ago, it's so cute made from 3 pieces of 6 X 6 Elegant Eggplant cardstock, which gives a folded size of 3 X 3- cute!
I've decorated with the Autumn Traditions DSP and various stamps from the Always Set- so versatile this set a must have as far as I'm concerned and Lovely As A Tree.
Let me know if you want to learn how to make one of these little books.

Tea Party
I've designed this card using the sketch over on Stamping 411 this week. Using Tea Party DSP, En Francis Stamp and lots of Dazzling Diamonds! With a little stitching and Certainly Celery Ribbon for detail. An easy but pretty card to make.

Antique Peonies
This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is a colour combo that's pretty and bright. So I made my card with the Asian Artistry Stamp Set, this is still one of my favourites, and peonies are one of my favourite flowers! I wanted to produce a card that had an antique look to it, the Soft Suede is a perfect ink for this. I have stamped and masked the Peony stamp and using Aqua Painters coloured them in with soft suede ink and Rose Red Pastel. I've sponged a mountain and sky background again with Soft Suede but also the Elegant Eggplant. Finally I added some bling from a brad and some ribbon. I thought the colour on the combo was Whisper White, so added the ribbon in that colour only to discover as I finished that it was actually Very Vanilla... Nevermind I don't have any Very Vanila Ribbon anyway.
