Strength and Hope wall hanging
It's my last week as a Visiting Artist over at Gingersnap Creations it's been fun :-) This week it's Once in a Blue Moon-months with a fifth wednesday- we get an Extra Challenge- Yay!
The challenge is 3 Words, 3 Paper, 3 Buttons.
I've used this special SU Stamp Set Strength and Hope (a % of profits are going to Breast Cancer Research). I wanted to create something pretty but also inspirational, for those days when the world can seem a bit tricky :-(
I hope you like it. Thanks for visiting during my stay at Gingersnaps, hope to see you again soon x

Surf Birthday
What fun I had creating this card :-) I found a new to me challenge blog- The Paper Players and I had fun with their sketch this week.
I created the surf background using Alcohol and a re-inker on glossy card- just like another of my cards last week. I love getting a bit inky. There's also a lot of wet embossing on the card to stand up to the intense colour of the Taken With Teal.
Details:
Colour Combo: Pacific Point, Basic Black, Taken With Teal (Retired).
Stamp Sets: Seaworthy, Extreme Elements, Grunge Rock, French Foliage, Afterthoughts. (all SU)

Purple Blooms
Over at Just Add Ink this week they are celebrating reaching 500 Followers! Congrats ladies and keep up the inspiring work :-)
They have given us this easy looking sketch- which I actually found really tricky because of the cross type effect, but got there in the end.
The card has not quite come out as I had envisaged, but I'm pleased anyway.
There'a alot of layering of stamped images, watercolouring, and sponging to pull it all together. Some liberal use of gold smooch and Lavender Stickles finish the card with some sparkle. I'm having real issues with light today so the photos aren't the best I'm afraid.
Close up of Roses
I'd been wanting to have a go at these rolled roses for a while and found a great Tutorial on how to make them on Just Add Ink Team memeber Tania Gould's blog click the Here for the tutorial.
Inside of the card
It's always an nice idea to decorate the inside of the card when you've used a dark cardstock. There's a trend to show the inside too so here you are :-)
Details:
Colour Combo: Early Expresso, Perfect Plum, Concord Crush.
Stamp Sets: Elements of Style, French Foliage.

Summer Birthdays
It's time for our 3rd challenge at Craft Room Challenge and Mervi has chosen Summer birthdays because it's her birthday!
Here's my card which was inspired by Justin Timberlake's song "Summer Love" It got me thinking about Summer Holiday Romances....
I hope you like it. I embossed the sentiment and the Eiffel Tower and then brayered the background in sunset colours, masking the rose. I then used Prismacolour pencils to colour the roses, adding some shimmer paint.
We'd love to see you playing along, so pop over to CRC and join in the fun.

Bags and Tags
It's inspiration week at Gingersnap Creations and it's all about Bags and Tags.
I wanted to create a flower market, vintage kind of feel for my bag, and I'm happy with how it's turned out. I've added some old broken jewelery again. Come over and join us and see what the other DT members have created.

GC106 Supply Challenge
This weeks challenge at Gingersnap Creations is the Supply Challenge- continuing with Shopping theme- we are challenged to use packing Materials.
Here's what I came up with.
I've used some corrogated cardboard to create a "cover" for this book. I've also used the Big Shot and some dies to create flowers from the foam packing stuff- and a broken piece of jewelery for some bling.
