Winter Wonderland

We woke to some snow this morning on local hills- which is a first in the 10 years we've been here in New Zealand- Which means my kids had never seen snow, so we went up the valley to Tunnel Gully to see the snow :-)

Inspired by the really wintery weather I've made this card for the Paper Players CAS Sketch Challenge.
I didn't keep it very simple I'm afraid- I love my glitter and ribbon too much.
I've brayerd and sponged the scene, using masking and the tree from the Lovely as a Tree set (SU). Then I've added some Iridescent white powder and dazzling Diamonds and some green Stickles.
The photo's not the best- light is at a premium, beacuse of the wintery weather. Stay warm.

Gorgeous card, and thanks for the heads up on the tunnel gully. We went up early afternoon and it was snowing rather hard even if it wasn't quite as covered as when you were there (every man and his dog had been there I believe)

Gorgeous card and a beautiful scene! As we sit in in stifling hot heat here in the US...so refreshing to be reminded of the snow! Great take on our sketch this week! Thanks for playing with the Paper Players!

Debi, how fun for your children seeing snow for the first time. Such a magical experience. I get excited every year with our first snow, I bet they had a ball.
Love your take on the sketch this week. Fabulous job creating the multi-layered snowbanks and the colors are lovely.
So glad you joined the Paper Players
