Winter Magic

I love these hellebore flowers they just amaze me- with their colour and delicate bloom in the middle of winter, when the rest of the garden is asleep here they are- truly the winter rose.
I've done this 12 X 12 layout using the Cottage Wall DSP (19.95) only available for a couple more weeks- I've also used vintage music sheets, embossed with teh Cottage Garden Stamps. Finally I created my own hellebore from Very Vanilla Cardstock, Aqua Painters and seed beads mixed with Crystal Effects.

Vintage Colour

This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is a colour combination Challenge: Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Kraft and Very Vanilla.
I've done a 12 X 12 Scrapbook Page, these colours lend themselves well to Scrapping Heritage Photographs. I've kept it simple, and I think it works well showing off beautifully the old family photo.

I've used Autumn Traditions DSP and Rose Red, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Stamps Used: Pendant Park and Winter Post.
Other: Two Way Bird Punch and Kraft Taffeta Ribbon.

Gift Tote

It was my daughter's friends birthday yesterday-the big 10- they went skating- fun!!! Here's the cool gift Tote I made for her pressies- Pixie pink is one of my favourites ( Farewell Pixie pink on the 31st August) it has a lovely blue hue to it.
Fifth Avenue Floral Rose Stamp brings some class and combined with the Scary Skulls Wheel (Also retiring) this Tote looks great.

Double Challenge

Well the Just Add Ink Team are really testing us this week with a double challenge- A colour Combination but it has to be a Man card.... Well I'd normally associate these colours as feminine- so it's all good to be encouraged to try them in a different way.
Here's my card I wanted to do a landscape with a vintage postcard tinted look- So I sponged and painted the scene with my aqua painters. I'm quite happy with how it's turned out. Not sure whether a man card should have ribbon- but hey I think it adds something.

Materials:
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze.
DSP: Bella Bleu.
Stamp Set: Asian Artistry.
Other: Watercolour Paper, Linen Twine, Baja Breeze Ribbon.
Inks: Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip.
